Use a virtual environment if you would rather not install into your system Python. The package installs one console script, archeus.

npx archeus

The npm package is a launcher rather than a copy of the tool: it runs archeus if it can find it, and if it cannot, it prints the exact command and hands the install to pipx — or to pip, inside a virtualenv or when pipx is missing. On Windows it also covers the case where pip has installed archeus but its Scripts directory is not on your PATH: it runs it as a module and tells you which directory to add.

The plugin ships commands and skills. It deliberately ships no hooks: archeus’s own hook manager already places the recall, worklog and guard hooks per account, and giving one settings.json entry two owners means installing both runs the same hook twice.

There is nothing to build. A checkout is told to git pull when it updates itself, rather than having a release installed over it.

• The Claude Code plugin manifest, with commands and skills generated from the package so they cannot fall behind it.
• A signed source distribution and a wheel on PyPI. Versioning is semantic; the changelog follows Keep a Changelog.
• The npm launcher, and the name on RubyGems, crates.io and NuGet — those three are pointers that print the pipx line rather than installing anything, so the name resolves to this project wherever people look for it.
